Pachinko is a game played with thousands of small ball bearings, concealed in a slot machine.

The player purchased a basket full ball bearings from a cashier, which are inserted in a slot at the top of the machine. They fall through a maze of channels, making a pachinko noise, where in some cases more ball bearings are released. Some will not fall through, but are caught in some of the channels, whilst other release more ball bearings trapped in the maze by previous player. Once released they descends through a small opening into a little basket and collected by the player. The objective is to collect as many of the ball bearings as possible. At the end of the game, or whenever the player decides to stop, the basket of ball bearings are taken to the cashier, who weighs them in exchange for cash. If the player is lucky enough to have more ball bearings than originally purchased he has won.

Personally I could never understand the appeal and addiction by the Japanese of this mindless and noisy game.

There are thousand of these pachinko game parlours scattered around Japan to fuel the Japanese insatiable addiction for this game.

many people in Japan are addicted to pachinko,i don’t want to understand why…
maybe they can’t forget the feelings when they “won”.

Pachinko is very dangerous gambling.please do not try.

but wait,i watched a Korean movie called something soldier in Wind, uhh i forgot the name but in the movie one Korean guy who lives in Japan shouted “pachinko, pachinko!!” to sell.

Now everyone wanna play “Winter Sonata by Kyoraku(perhaps)”,

You know that Japanese people LOVE pachinko, so why do you care??

And do you REALLY believe that most of the Koreans living in Japan are financially supporting North Korea? A few, perhaps, but not many. The same as there are only a FEW racist Japanese who hate Koreans.

Anyway, WHY exactly do you hate Koreans so much? You are ALWAYS making snide remarks about them, insinuating that they are all criminals or worse, but why?

Perhaps your wife is in love with that bloke from Winter Sonata??? ; )
