I shot this in the district of Shinjuku in Tokyo. Pachinko machines can be found in salons that are everywhere Pachinko Japan. The Pachinko is a mixture between the slot and pinball machine. One can easily recognize the salons because they are bright and colorful, in a salon is very strong and smoky. The player is quite passive while playing, he or she is controlling only the speed with which many small steel balls are thrown into the machinery of Pachinko.
